Poetry for the soul...

My name is Nathan. I live in sunny Durban, South Africa. I am 44 years old. This blog came about partially because of my willingness to share on my manic depression illness. But, mainly on the journey taken by me and Christ. 

A journey marred by fear, anguish, and even total insanity. Yet a journey speckled and painted with joy and elation that I could never describe with any vocabulary, art, or literature that exists. 

I have been gifted with the ability to compose poetry, which intensified in the midst of my mental illness. Manic depression is an illness that manifests itself on the outside, just as much as it does on the inside. In the same way, Christ's love warms the heart, and is reflected in one's eyes. 

While I have been relatively stable on meds, I still have those 'off' days. This is in part the reason for this blog, not only to give encouragement, but learn valuable lessons from you my precious visitors. I will also with my small iota of layman's knowledge, try to answer any questions that you may have. 

Hope to have a long and lasting relationship, as we ponder ideas and grow from each other.
